• Translate the weekly Master Production Schedule into a detailed daily plan per machine area. Monitor and report daily and weekly production.
o Work with Operations, Process Engineering, Facilities and Supply Chain to include factors that affect the daily plan
o Publish the weekly financial summary and weekly "dashboard" metrics, including throughput, yields, module and cell power for appropriate level of product mix detail and operation.
o Provide analysis as needed and assist in decision-making in areas such as weekend overtime,
re-arranging maintenance schedules, and prioritizing experiments.
o Recognize and manage bottleneck steps and WIP levels through the factory, and work with Operations and the Master Scheduler to adjust and plan accordingly.

• Work with Operations to understand the factors affecting the schedule, and work to identify areas of
improvement going forward (i.e. capacity, staffing, PM schedules, procedures, etc.)
o Root cause for daily/weekly misses
o Work with the Master Scheduler to incorporate these factors into the MPS

• Manage all Test Requests
o Approve or seek Operations input
o Track usage over time, work with Master Production Scheduler to review assumptions
o Determine impact on schedule and material usage, make appropriate SAP transactions

• Become a "super-user" in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), as this is the source of production data.
o Participate in or lead discussions impacting production data reporting, such as lot naming rules, yield calculations, step designations, etc.
o Be able to generate reports or request system enhancements to support required analysis

• "Manage" WIP inventory of wafers, cells, and raw materials
o Perform cycle counts, reconcile, adjust as needed, and provide summarized analysis and reporting
o Be the point person for the MES/SAP interface: troubleshooting and specifying changes.

Global Laboratory Oversight / Management
-Coordinate field returned material to regional laboratories.
-Develop standardized mechanical & electrical signature analysis methods.
-Define regional laboratory equipment toolsets.
-Determine and commoditize laboratory costs.
-Monitor and measure laboratory results.

Perform Technical Failure Analysis
-Perform failure mode verification through failure mechanism identification using a variety of analytical techniques primarily on non-signature returns.
-Perform analysis on reliability testing failures.
-Support physical analysis for root cause understanding.
-Develop novel non-destructive and destructive analysis techniques. 

Data Analysis
-Develop a standardized returned product data set (trends & paretos).
-Perform detailed data analysis and reporting when necessary.
