        <responsibilities><![CDATA[	This person will act as AME lead to provide a design for manufacturing vision for Salem product lines. In this role of Advance Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
- Work with product engineering to help steer designs toward new approaches with power conversion devices, electromagnetic components and related assemblies
- Develop new and alternate sources for high cost components to keep product cost competitive
- Represent manufacturing and participate in concurrent engineering and design of new products supporting all New Product Introduction (NPI) tollgates
- Implement standardization across product lines where possible to achieve reduced inventory and purchasing economies of scale
- Focus on reduction of assembly time through clever design for assembly and manufacturing
- Establish, document, and maintain design for manufacturing (DFM) guidelines for engineering use compatible with current manufacturing capability
- Evaluate new products for manufacturability per established DFM guidelines
- Develop mockups and prototypes to validate NPI designs (interface with shop floor to validate)
- Ensure production workstations are adequate and optimized for New Product Platforms being developed
- Work with packaging AME, suppliers and engineering to develop low cost, and effective heat sinks and cooling systems for power conversion modules
- Collect and provide statistical based analysis of new designs from the manufacturing, supplier and shop perspectives and work with engineering to use it to improve current and future product designs
- Provide technical support to assist in the sourcing and the procurement of Power Electronics and Electromagnetics components
- Ensure proper integration on the shop floor and act as bridge between sourcing and engineering

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar technology field from an accredited institution.

At least 5 years electric power conversion system design experience.
